Special People is excited to participate in My Way Day 2024! This event is a fantastic opportunity for Islington residents with learning disabilities and/or autism to explore a wide range of activities, opportunities, and support available to them.

Event Highlights:

• Music sessions
• Employment information
• Mindfulness session by The Recovery College
• Dance performance and taster session by Dandelion Dance
• Lego workshop by Toy Project
• Performances by Daylight Studio and Culpepper Choir
• Interactive music session by Groovy Horizons
• Inclusive cycling with Pedal Power

Schedule:

• 10:00am: Event starts (drop-in format)
• 10:30am: Mindfulness session
• 11:00am – 11:30am: Dance performance and taster session
• 11:00am – 2:00pm: Lego workshop
• 12:15pm – 12:30pm: Performance by Daylight Studio
• 1:00pm: Interactive music session
• 2:00pm: Choir performance

Additionally, Mencap’s Our Radio will be hosting their show from the event, featuring music and performances throughout the day.

Important Information:

• Audience: Islington residents aged 14 and over with learning disabilities and/or autism, their families, carers, and professionals.
• Access: Ramp access via Drayton Park Road (closest to H and J gates) or Benwell Rd.
• Lunch: Please bring your own lunch.
