About Us

Our Quality Commitment

At Special People, the quality of care we provide is not simply a professional obligation, it is the foundation upon which our agency was built. We believe that every individual we support, regardless of age or the complexity of their needs, deserves care that is safe, consistent, and genuinely centred around them as a person.

We are proud to have been independently assessed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the body responsible for regulating and inspecting health and social care services across England and awarded a ‘Good’ rating across all five key inspection areas: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led. This rating is a direct reflection of the standards our team upholds each and every day, and the trust that the families and individuals we work with place in us.

Special People specialises in the provision of care for children and adults living with learning and physical disabilities. We understand that the needs of the people we support can be complex, varied, and deeply personal. That is why our approach has always been one of genuine partnership working closely with individuals, their families, and wider care networks to develop support plans that are both meaningful and effective.

Our CQC inspection examined every dimension of our service in detail. Across each of the five domains, our team demonstrated the professionalism, compassion, and dedication that we consider to be the hallmarks of truly good care. Being rated ‘Good’ across the board is something we are immensely proud of, and it reinforces our commitment to continuously reviewing and improving the services we deliver.

We welcome transparency and encourage anyone considering our services whether for themselves or for a loved one to review our full CQC inspection report.
